I AM

This is a poem I wrote in Grade 5. I came across it the other day and thought I might share it.

I Am a woman who speaks her mind with the voice of a thousand words.
I Wonder if I'll ever reach the goals I want to achieve.
I Hear wishful sounds of me getting stronger as I get wiser.
I See my past and think my future through my voice.
I Want my dreams and wishes to come true.
I Am a woman who speaks her mind with the voice of a thousand words.

I Pretend to be stronger than I am.
I Feel people push me down but I bring myself up.
I Touch my future and let go of my past.
I Worry my life will go unnoticed.
I Cry for the life of others whose were taken away.
I Am a woman who speaks her mind with the voice of a thousand words.

I Understand people grow and move on.
I Say the more you experience the longer you've lived.
I Dream that people will understand what others feel.
I Try to give others the gifts given to me.
I Hope to never lose trust in myself.
