** Was given a copy of this book for an honest review **

I belong in the shadows. My profession demands it.

It’s a risk going to Takoda, where the new Buccelli Boss knows my face, but I’ve gone too long without checking in on a situation that concerns me.

I knew better.

Now a debt’s been called in, and there’s Cory. Muscular, gorgeous, broken Cory. A boy who thinks he’s too old for a Daddy.

I won’t leave him alone…I can’t.

It was such an interesting time reading this book and starting a new Daddy series with Sammi Cee. If you saw my last review for "Wanted: Unwavering Daddy" you'll know that it was the last book in a quite fluff filled Takoda Daddy Kink series that I absolutely loved in-spite not being into the trope. This new series loses the fluff for the seedy Takoda underbelly and I was here for it! So let's get to it... likes, dislikes, and who I would recommend this read for!

Dislikes:

What can I say I loved this book. There was just enough sweetness for what was a bit of a mafia thriller to have me wanting more. So my only dislike is the instalove, I know, I know, it's fairly common around the Takoda series that Sammi Cee has written, but because one of the main characters this time involved some very serious shady business I wanted to see some more relationship building or even some (very valid) hesitation from Cory.

Likes:

Can I just say how much I loved Bosley as a character!! We meet Bosley briefly in the previous season and this duology is a bit of a redemption arc for him. I love the assassin with a twist story line! I had so much fun in this book trying to figure out (along with the MCs) just what was going on in the hotel. Loved that Cory was such an a-typical "boy"and that throughout the story he became stronger and more assertive!

Who I recommend this for:

This is a great book for those who love the Daddy Kink of course, but also for those who maybe haven't tried a book with this trope before. It is less prevalent in this book because the focus is on solving a mystery in the hotel, the mafia underbelly of Takoda, and catching the bad guy. Those who like more morally grey characters and don't mind dark themes.
